Monster Toy

Studio project challenge to create a toy that only uses wood and rubber bands. The rubber bands could be used as connectors, mechanisms, or decoration in the toys. 

The final piece is a peak-a-boo toy and noisemaker for any age. The wood slabs are smoothed and painted with custom monster characters I created for this project. The monster heads are attached to rubber bands that are secured in the center of the toy. The user can pull out characters from the center, and they snap back into place when let go. When the toy moves, the wood pieces create a pleasing rattling sound.
